StepUp Bend helps common-sense Bend residents who might want to run for local elected office. Have you ever wondered about running for city council, school board, park board, COCC board, or something else? Don’t know where to start? StepUp Bend gives you insider information from local, regional and national experts on what it’s like to serve and what it’s like to run. It’s free, fun, and interactive and we promise you’ll learn a lot.
About StepUp Bend
StepUp Bend is a non-partisan collaboration of the Bend Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee and the Central Oregon Association of Realtors. The facilitator is former Bend mayor, attorney and political consultant Jeff Eager. Other presenters include experts in local government, polling, advertising, and political campaigns.
StepUp Bend participants will be invited to attend monthly hour-long sessions focused on subjects such as local government budgeting, online political advertising, and how busy business owners and professionals have successfully run and served here in Bend.
